Conversation. Talk About It!

Conversation groups with friends and relatives can be stimulating and keeps the mind in the game. We don't let our senior citizens talk enough so they lose their social skills. The more interested in life the Caregiven is, the easier caregiving is. Different settings and different people can keep it fresh:

Church groups for men and women allow for discussions and fellowship. Many opinions and shared experiences often open new lines of communication and support.

Family gatherings- include the seniors in the family dynamics. You might learn something about your heritage, events and relationships you never knew before. Keep the family lore going.

Friendly "get-togethers" are great to compare the world situation, political viewpoints, sporting events and just fun and food and fellowship.
