Ombudsman Enforce that Elder Abuse is Against the Law. Report It!

Ombudsman and Adult Protective Service agencies are state agencies that investigate and resolve reported acts of abuse, neglect and exploitation of residents of long-term care facilities, assisted-living facilities, and adult family care homes. They have the legal authority to enforce the law and bring formal charges where required and can immediately place the facility's operating credentials in jeopardy. Don't underestimate what they are capable of handling.
